Day of the Dead Groom and Bride

Happy Thursday dolls! This was a last minute costume idea. Since I have an obsession with skulls the day of dead/sugar skull I decided to dress up like it with my twin sister Lissette. Day of the dead is a Mexican Holiday celebrated throughout cultures. The holiday focuses on gathering of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died. Lissette and I dressed up to represent the memory of our beloved grandparents that passed away. During high school and after graduating 6 1/2 years ago we lost so many friends and family members so it's been a rough roller coaster for us which made us stronger ladies today. I painted our faces and styled our costumes from our closets. Everything we are wearing belongs to us which we like to save everything in case we need it like we did. For the past three years we made our costumes it saves a lot of money and why not be something different from everyone else. She was the groom and I was the sexy bride. If you live in South Florida there will be a day of dead parade in Ft.Lauderdale free event held from 6 p.m. To 11 p.m. starts at NW 5th Street and NW 1st Ave features live music, a circus, several performances, various vendors and body painting. What were you for Halloween?
